4.5.8.1.2.2 Electric closing device nominal voltage/closing time. Testing shall be conducted in accordance with
4.5.3.2.1 except that a voltage check shall be made at the nominal rated operating voltage only.
4.5.8.1.2.3 Undervoltage release device nominal operating voltage/dropout voltage range. Testing shall be
conducted in accordance with 4.5.3.3.1 and 4.5.3.3.2 except that a voltage check shall be made at the nominal rated
operating voltage only.
4.5.8.1.2.4 Shunt trip nominal operating voltage/tripping current. Testing shall be conducted in accordance
with 4.5.3.4 except that a voltage check shall be made at the nominal rated operating voltage only.
4.5.8.1.2.5 Operation of indicator light, operations counter, mechanical position indicator, and auxiliary switch.
4.5.8.1.2.6 Operation of cell switch and rack-in/rack-out position indicator. Testing shall be conducted in
4.5.8.1.2.7 Trip on power up (TOPU) device operating characteristics and control power removal/reapplication
(electronic trip units only). Circuit breakers with electronic trip devices and a TOPU or similar device shall be
tested in accordance with 4.5.3.7.
4.5.8.2 Test position. The circuit breaker shall be racked-out to the test position. The circuit breaker may be
racked-out in the normal vertical/horizontal orientation then inclined. The circuit breaker shall be inclined when
4.5.8.2.1 Main contact de-energization and rack-in/rack-out position indicator operation. Testing shall be
conducted in accordance with 4.5.5.1.1.1.
4.5.8.2.2 Cell switch operation. Testing shall be conducted in accordance with 4.5.5.1.1.2.
4.5.8.2.3 Electrical cycling and mechanical position indicator operation. Testing shall be conducted in
accordance with 4.5.6.1.1.3.
4.5.8.2.4 Manual cycling and mechanical position indicator operation. Testing shall be conducted in
accordance with 4.5.6.1.1.4.
4.5.8.2.5 Anti-rolling verification. Testing shall be conducted in accordance with 4.5.5.1.1.5 except that the 25-
pound force shall not be applied.
4.5.8.3 Disconnect position. The circuit breaker shall be racked-out to the disconnect position. The circuit
breaker may be racked-out in the normal vertical/horizontal orientation then inclined. The circuit breaker shall be
4.5.8.3.1 Withdrawal interlock mechanism and rack-in/rack-out position indicator operation. Testing shall be
conducted in accordance with 4.5.5.1.2.1.
4.5.8.3.2 Cell switch operation. Testing shall be conducted in accordance with 4.5.5.1.2.2.
4.5.8.3.3 Manual cycling and mechanical position indicator operation. Testing shall be conducted in
accordance with 4.5.5.1.2.3.
4.5.8.3.4 Anti-rolling verification. Testing shall be conducted in accordance with 4.5.5.1.2.4 except that the 25-
pound force shall not be applied.
4.5.8.4 Withdrawn position. The circuit breaker shall be racked-out to the withdrawn position. The circuit
breaker may be racked-out in the normal vertical/horizontal orientation then inclined. The circuit breaker shall be
4.5.8.4.1 Manual cycling and mechanical position indicator operation. Testing shall be conducted in
accordance with 4.5.5.1.3.1.
